400 grams Vapcotrim powder for poultry

COMPOSITION:

Each gm contains:

Trimethoprim : 80 mg

Sulphadiazine Sodium : 400 mg

PROPERTIES:

The combined antibacterial components potentiate their efficacy against Gm +ve and Gm-ve pathogens.

Sulphonamides block the transformation of folic acid in the bacterial cell into bio-active form, and trimethoprim magnifies that effect such synergistic action lead to the bacterial death.

INDICATIONS:

Treatment of different primary and secondary bacterial infections associated with respiratory, gastro-intestinal and urinary tracts infections such as: Salmonella, Coli, Pasteurella, Enteritis, Mycoplasma, CRD, Pneumonia etc.. in poultry(chicken, turkey) and large animals.

DOSAGE: (Treatment duration for 5 days).

■ Poultry(chicken, turkey):100 gm per 200 litres of drinking water.

Large animals: 1 gm per 15 kg B.wt. daily and orally with water.

Prevention: half dosage for the same period.

Use hot water 50-60c°to dissolve the product.

SAFETY PERIOD: For meat and milk consumption: 5 days.

REMARKS:

Flumequine should not be associated with trimethoprim-sulphonamide treatment.

Not recommended for laying flocks.

Contra-indicated in cases of liver and kidney troubles, Gumboro disease.

Adequate water intake must be available to avoid Sulphonamide precipitation.
