COMPOSITION: Each gm contains:

Doxycycline HCI. 500 mg

PROPERTIES:

Doxycycline, the broad-spectrum antibiotic, is one of the tetracycline group; it is more rapidly absorbed in the gastrointestinal tract, distributed extensively throughout the body, and slowly excreted than other tetracyclines.

Doxycycline is a long-acting antibiotic and is a safe treatment even for impaired renal function. It is rapidly absorbed from the intestine and slowly excreted

Doxycycline is used in cases of various infections of the respiratory, urogenital, and gastrointestinal tracts; which are caused by mycoplasma and various gm+ve and gm-ve bacteria (Staph, Strept, Coli, Chlamydia, Clostridia, Rickettsia, Vibrio, Campylobacter, Pasteurella, Leptospira, Spirochaeta, Pseudomonas, Listeria, Shigella, Klesbsiella, etc.)

Indications:

Given to poultry, calves, lambs, kids, dogs, cats, pigeons, and caged birds.

For the treatment and prevention of various diseases: CRD, Coryza, Mycoplasmosis, Air succulitis, Sinusitis, Synovitis, Colibacillosis, Omphalitis and yolk sac infection, Fowl cholera, Necrotic enteritis (Clostridia), and various bacterial enteritis and diarrhea.

Dosage:

(Treatment duration: 4-5 days)

Treatment:

Poultry: 40 gm / 200 liters.

Pigeons, caged birds: 0.26 gm/liter.

Different animals and pigs: 0.20 gm/10 kg B.wt. daily

Prevention:

Half dosage for the same period.

Safety Period:

For meat consumption: 7 days.

For egg consumption: 3 weeks.

Remarks:

During treatment, mineral salts should not be added to the medicated water.

Not used for table egg layers.

During treatment, eggs are not used for human consumption.

Storage:

Keep in a dry, dark place below 30 °C.
