Amoxan 100 gm powder for poultry 

COMPOSITION: Each gm contains:

Amoxycillin Trihydrate.    200 mg

PROPERTIES:

A beta-lactam antibiotic of the aminopenicillins.

Safe, less toxic and rapidly absorbed form the gastrointestinal tract.

Acts by impairing development of bacterial cell walls.

Has a bactericidal action against a wide range of Gm+ve and Gm-ve bacteria, attacking chickens, pigeons, ducks, pre-ruminating animals, dogs and cats:

Staph, Strept, Coryne, Listeria, Clostridia, Erysipelothrix; E. Coli, Salmonella, Pasteurella, Moraxella, Klebsiella, Proteus, Haemophilus, Shigella, Actinobacillus, Leptospira, Borrelia, Spirochaeta.

INDICATIONS:

CRD, Colibacillosis, Salmonellosis, Fowl cholera, Bovine haemorrhagic septicaemia, Clostridial infections, Omphalitis and yolk sac infection, Coryza, Sinusitis, Air succulitis, Diarrhea, Enteritis, Spirochaetosis, Listeriosis, Erysipelas.

Other respiratory, gastrointestinal and urogenital infections.

Stress conditions due to vaccination, debeaking, transporting, rehousing, changes of feed and weather.

DOSAGE: (Firstly, dissolve well in 2 liters of water, then add to the water bulk to be medicated).

Treatment: (Duration: 5 days)

Poultry: 100 gm/200 liters of drinking water.

Lambs, Calves, kids (Pre-ruminating): 2 gm/50 kg B. wt. twice daily and orally with drinking water. (8 mg activity/kg body wt.)

Dogs, Cats: 0.5 gm/10 kg B. wt. twice daily and orally with drinking water. (10 mg activity/kg body wt.)

Pigeons, Ducks: 0.5 gm/5 kg B. wt. with drinking water. (20 mg activity/kg body wt.)

Prevention: Half of the dosage for the same period.

WITHDRAWAL PERIOD: (For Meat Consumption)

For Poultry, Pigeon, Ducks: 3 Days.

For Lambs, Kids, Calves: 8 Days
